I am the founder and artist behind Bamboo DNA, a small company specializing in large-scale architectural bamboo structures and environments. I've had the great fortune of dedicating myself to working with this remarkable grass for over thirteen years and am continually awed and humbled by its strength, versatility and ability to surprise.

This year I decided to open up my sketchbook and share some experiences from every day in my bamboo life. Why? Because sharing is better than hiding things away in my dusty boxes under the house. And I enjoy making people laugh :)

About the drawings:

All sketches are drawn at the moment an experience occurs and usually take between 1 and 20 minutes to complete, using my trusty Tombow markers. I never retouch or edit anything and if it comes out "wrong"... Oh well... C'est la vie!

I simply want to emphasize that there are experiences worth remembering every day, no matter how mundane they might seem.

I hope you enjoy it. Thank you for visiting!
