The entire structure will be hand-built out of organic materials.

 

Materials:

  • Guadua Angustifolia (the world´s best bamboo species for construction, native to Latin America)
  • Palmwood dowels
  • Bamboo dowels
  • Manila rope
  • Rawhide

That´s it. We´ll be breaking ground on the structure about two weeks before the official start of Burning Man.

 

I called my last project the "Bamboo Trapezium"... it was originally intended to be a shade structure, but ended up being a performance space for several acts. Oh well...

I think this time I´ll get it right.
